We love this bit because it offers better control for stronger horses, as well as allowing more tongue freedom.
Sweet iron develops through contact with humidity surface rust that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates saliva production. This will allow the horse to produce more foam which is good for a better acceptance of the bit. This rusting process changes the blue color of the TRUST-bits to a brownish-grey color. During a temporary non-use of a sweet iron bit, an orange-brown rust layer sticks on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed with a little bit of water.
This is a straight mouthpiece with a medium port. The port allows freedom of the tongue. The port creates space for the tongue and decreases the pressure on the centre of the horse’s tongue. More tongue freedom is ideal for horses that have a sensitive tongue or horses that stick out the tongue.
